The unique old city of Regensburg can be experienced with its medieval alleys and market places; today the old city of Regensburg is under historic protection as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The healing sulphur and mud baths of the spa resort city of Bad Abbach inspired Emperor Karl V. High above the city Kelheim, the majestic cupola crowning the Liberation Hall is visible from a far distance and the baroque Monastery Weltenburg. crowns nature's magnificent theater of the Danube gorges.
