From Beilngries, the tour heads north via the Sulz Bridge. Then it heads toward the harbour where the ship boarding station and yacht harbour can be found along this stretch of the Main-Danube Canal. After approx. 4 kilometres, the side trail to the Plankstetten Monastery is worthwhile. Continuing along the canal, you will reach the Berching locks and then follow the Five Rivers Bike Trail to the ship boarding in Berching. If you want, you can travel by ship back to Beilngries. If you want to continue the return trip by bike, turn right at the intersection onto the combined bike & hike trail. After approx. 3 kilometres, head to Wallnsdorf and then follow the Ludwig-Danube-Main Canal. Leave the route at Teerstraße and turn left onto Schotterweg, which continues directly along the canal and crosses the Kevenhüller bridge to lead on to Beilngries.
